Transferring a domain name to Host Media?

If you are looking to transfer your domain name from your current provider to us, the first thing you will need to do is make sure your domain is unlocked at your provider.

When transferring any domain please make sure the following conditions are met:

• Domain is at least 60 days old or 60 days since the last transfer
• Domain is unlocked at your domain provider
• Domain is not within any redemption or grace periods (i.e. expired)

Transferring a domain name away from Host Media?

We understand sometimes you just want to move your domains to a new provider, whether that's for better pricing or to consolidate all your domains under one provider. That's why we won't send you lots of annoying emails asking for the reasons - but if you do wish to speak with someone about available options to stay at Host Media please do contact our friendly sales team.

Transferring a .UK domain away

To transfer your .UK domain name you will need your new providers IPS TAG, once you have this, you can login to your client portal and under the domain management screen use the 'Release Domain' option. You can then place your domain transfer order with your new provider. .UK domain transfers should be free at any new provider.

Needing your domains authentication code

Your new provider will ask you for a EPP code (known commonly as an Auth Code), you can find this within your Host Media client portal under the domain management screen of the domain you wish to transfer. Send this code to your new provider and make sure your domain is unlocked in the client portal to avoid any delays
